As our media landscapes become more polarized and increasingly market-driven, art is one space where we can have broader, more nuanced conversations about the life we are experiencing. They provide spaces for our imaginations to expand beyond the intellect and for us to become immersed in different ways of seeing, feeling, experiencing our world.
Artists are always listening. They listen with their ears and their eyes and the hearts and minds.
I feel we are in a place in history where we need to exercise the art of listening more than talking. In the upcoming season, we will explore the ways artists and thinkers are listening to the world and making sense of what they hear.
